Hier een berichtje van Annet Homan (nu Annet van der Hoorn-Homan), voormalig lid van Clio. Grappig om toe te voegen wellicht, is dat ik de bedenker, medeoprichter en eerste hoofdredactrice was van Checks&Balances, destijds, ik geloof dat het 2004 was.
Ontzettend leuk om te zien dat de naam en intentie achter het magazine nu, na 15 jaar, behouden zijn!
Wij zijn na onze studie in Groningen de wijde wereld in getrokken en jullie hebben het na 15 jaar overgenomen. Geniet van deze tijd, want het is geweldig!
Het wereldje in Groningen heeft zich na de studie afgebroken en heeft zich wederopgebouwd in Den Haag. Velen aanvankelijk wonend in de stad, daarna een gezin krijgend en neerstrijkend buiten Den Haag of elders in de Randstad. Mooi aansluitend bij de opleiding en Clio, was voor de SIB (studentenver. voor Internationale Betrekkingen), en ook voor die mensen spreek ik. Velen uiteindelijk geland bij de overheid. We hebben nog steeds contact.
Nu, 15 jaar later, ben ik zelf begin 40 en heb ik een rustigere kijk op alles, eigenlijk veel meer ontspannen dan toen ik net klaar was met studeren!
Wat een prachtige studie om als ondergrond te hebben voor straks. Geniet ervan mensen! En geniet van het heerlijke Groningen!
